Managing Campaigns

Below you will find an explanation of how campaigns work in Masslytics, and how you can create or edit them for more precise reporting.

What are campaigns?

Campaigns are groups of start and end dates that Masslytics considers to represent a coherent mass media effort.
For example, if you run a radio campaign over two weeks across multiple channels, these two weeks together make up a single campaign.

Why save campaigns?

By saving your campaigns explicitly, Masslytics can not only measure the direct impact of your ads but also report on indirect effects.
This includes:

  • Delayed responses to the campaign
  • Combined effects, such as better performing social media campaigns while your TV ad is running in parallel

Saving campaigns also makes your reporting clearer and more structured.

Automatic detection

Masslytics will attempt to detect campaign periods automatically based on your uploaded ad schedule.
However, automatic detection can sometimes be inaccurate - especially if your campaign has pauses or follows an always-on strategy.
We recommend reviewing and adjusting your campaign periods for best results.
